Source Transparency
Mentioned · Last updated 2026-06-12
How Mentioned treats creator sources, automated detection and product visuals.
Creator sources
Mentions are inferred from public YouTube titles, descriptions, thumbnails, links, imported metadata and optional transcript-provider output when available.
Automated detection
Product extraction and sponsorship detection are automated. Sponsored signals can be incomplete, especially when creators use ambiguous wording or third-party shop pages.
Product visuals
Mentioned prefers official brand images, affiliate-feed images, open-data images and exact retailer product pages. LTK posts, social posts, video frames and editorial roundups are not trusted as product packshots.
Placeholders
If a verified product image is missing or an imported image fails audit, Mentioned shows a generated placeholder until a better credited image is imported.
Corrections
Creators, brands and users can report wrong mentions, wrong images or missing attribution via lucka@ux-beratung.de.
